The
Platestream® Violet was launched in 2005 to provide a highly
affordable and versatile 2-up violet metal CtP system. The key features
of this design are simplicity

 HighWater
Python
The
success of the Platinum CTP machine lead to a requirement from
HighWater Designs Ltd for a higher quality and faster machine. Synectix
brought together an innovative design that combines the convenience of
flat bed manual loading with the precision of internal drum imaging.
The
new machine is the Python. It can image a B2 plate in two minutes at
2540 dpi using a violet laser. Silver or photopolymer violet plates can

 Mantagraphics
Ultresetter 530
The
Ultresetter 530 is a 2-up manual internal drum CTP machine designed by
Synectix and supplied by Mantagraphics. The machine features a patented
internal drum architecture which combines great simplicity with wide
flexibility. Green and violet light sources for both low and high
sensitivity CTP materials are available. Switched speeds and
resolutions ensure maximum productivity for a wide range of

HighWater
Platinum Range
Seeking to launch a new
product at DRUPA '95, HighWater Designs Ltd approached Synectix to
explore possibilities. Brainstorming with users, suppliers,
and technologies played a vital role in refining the requirements and
conquering the technical challenges with innovative solutions. Once the
CtP design was defined, featuring the latest in technology and user
features, Synectix produced detailed schedules and costings.
The affordable flat-bed Platinum CtP system was
conceived and developed against a very tight schedule and has since
proved a very successful product for the company. The system
features a frequency doubled YAG Laser with 50 and 100 dpmm resolution
and handles plates up to a maximum of 660 x 812mm. Since the
initial launch of the B2 Platinum 2230, Synectix have provided
development support for the development of the automatic Platinum 2230

 K&F
Laser Express
The
K&F Laser Express is a flat-bed platesetter imaging silver or
photopolymer plates up to 648 x 914mm at resolutions of 40, 50, and 100
dpmm.
K&F
Printing Systems approached Synectix to provide valuable expertise in
advanced software and laser imaging electrical control
circuitry in order to complete development of the Laser
Express platesetter for the newspaper industry. Synectix
worked closely with K&F's own engineers and the laser imaging
head supplier, Westwind, to integrate a system to a tight
